In an attempt to ensure youths participate more actively in politics by playing more active rolls and breaking voters’ apathy, and electing leaders of like-minds who would secure their future and interests, the Ogun State Peoples Democratic Party(PDP)Youth Leader, Mr.Femi Alao will embark on a one day tour of Ado Odo-Ota Local Government Area on Friday,September 16,2016.

Speaking during an interactive session with journalists today in Abeokuta,Alao added that political apathy among young people is what translates into low voters’ turnout during elections, saying that “there has to be a change in view because they play an increased central role in movement for democracy around the globe”.

“Many young people are not involved in voting during elections which threatens the representative nature of our democratic institutions,” he explained.

Youth leaders across the LGA,the Ogun West Peoples Democratic Party Senatorial Chairman,the Local Government Party Chairman are all expected to grace the occasion.

Issues relating to the progress of the party will be discussed. The forth coming Local Government election shall also take the front burner.

He declared that the PDP would use the Ado Odo-Ota tour as an example in sending strong signal in the political circle that the PDP remains the major party to beat in Ogun State.
